DIY two tone painted table - how to update and revive and old table with a lick of paint
What you will need for this DIY project:
A drop sheet
White low sheen paint
A container
Masking tape
Paint brushes
Sand paper - 80 grit
A table
Step One
Moderately sand desired area that you wish to paint. You want there to be enough of a rough surface for the new paint to stick but too much that you have sanded right into the timber.
Step Two
Wipe off any excess dust from the table.
Step Three
Place masking tape on the areas of the table you wish to protect from the new paint.
Step Four
Start painting legs running with the grain of the timber. Be careful not to drip any excess paint.
Wait till dry and then apply second coat.
Step Five
Leave to dry over night... looking good already!
Our finished DIY table
Here's our DIY table finished, doesn't it look great. Not bad for a piece of furniture you often see sitting on the side of the road for hard rubbish collection!
A big thanks to our guest contributors Short and Spook who have done a wonderful job upcycling this piece of furniture.
