Honey, a DIY alternative to using rooting hormone

On a tight gardening budget and looking for a rooting hormone alternative? Then head to the kitchen pantry and grab a jar of honey! Honey is a natural fungicide, antibiotic and promotes root growth.

How to propagate with honey:

There are two approaches you can try:

1/ Simply dip your cutting into the honey and plant

2/ Boil a couple of cups of water and then add a tablespoon of honey. Once the honey has diluted and cooled dip the cutting into the solution and plant in to the garden or pot.
